Updates Galore! (Did I use that right?)

I have a ton of updates! For the first part, I decided not to close down the google code... You may have also noticed the huge new updated banner.
I would like to clear up some important stuff, that vid of text hacking was not very amazing, especially since it was released for the sansa v1. As soon as I find somebody who can install the firmware and demonstrate it I will be glad to demonstrate. In the fuze news, I have the whole 24 bytes of the verification check to look thru. As soon as I figure out the stuff I need, I will go to building together a custom fuze firmware, possibly port rockbox as well.
EDIT: I also like to hack the iTouch, hop over to http://xat.com/jailbrake_ipodtouch_2g and ... talk, I guess... My username is sashavol2G in that chat.. ENJOY!

Goodbye googlecode

I removed my google code cause it was way to much to handle. I will put the v2 custom firmware link up soon.

Signature Checks on Fuze!

Well guess what there are some signature checks... on the sansa fuze. However this does not stop us from actually doing anything to the firmware. From my perspective these sig checks are completely useless.
*technical details removed visit code.google.com/p/sansadev for them*

Rockbox = Not Priority

As sad as it is, rockbox on the sansa v2 and fuze is currently not in the most of my interests. Porting a firmware to a device that is completely different from the sansav1 is not something I would put my time into. Instead I will be focusing on other stuff that could be much more useful. In case you read my FirmwareHackingv1 page on google code page you might have read that there is some sort of an mp4 decoder in the sansa. Sandisk may have blocked off the feature to avoid problems with Apple.

Hacking Sansa Firmware

Currently our (my) first project is simply hacking firmwares.

The only sansa I actually own myself is the sansa e250 v1.
However hacks can be done without the device, as long as
we have people to test our stuff :). So if you are interested in
joining sansadev and actually have expierience with hex editing
and minor coding... join!
Aside from that, I decided I would ignore the sansa e250v1 for now
as it had been already hacked to the limit (almost).
The first project is hacking of the sansa e250v2, and sansa fuze.
These hacks may be basic things such as text editing of the menu, and then
other stuff. Probably themes. So please post an issue
Also time to time when we need testers I might ask :).
